- What areas do you serve?
- All of Chicagoland. The shop is in Naperville, IL and we work across DuPage, Will, Kane, Cook, Kendall, McHenry and Lake Counties, including the city of Chicago and the western, northwest, and southwest suburbs.
- Do you come to us, or do we bring the truck to you?
- Both. Most single-vehicle work happens at the Naperville shop. For commercial fleets we schedule on-site and yard visits across the Chicago metro so trucks stay in service.
- Are your amber warning light installs legal in Illinois?
- Illinois law limits when flashing lights may be used, and authorization depends on the vehicle classification and use. We select and configure warning-light systems using the information the customer provides, with 625 ILCS 5/12-212 and 625 ILCS 5/12-215 as primary state references. The owner or operator must confirm that the vehicle has all required authority and permits.
- Who may use amber, red, blue, or green warning lights in Illinois?
- Illinois Vehicle Code Section 12-215 assigns specific warning-light colors and types to authorized vehicle classifications. Eligibility can depend on the vehicle, agency, duty, written authorization, or permit. We do not assume a color is permitted based only on the requested installation. Customers should verify their authority under the current statute and any applicable local or agency rules.
- How long does an install take?
- A straightforward beacon or grille strobe install is usually same day. A full work truck warning package or a custom off-road build typically takes one to two days depending on parts and wiring.
- Is there a minimum number of vehicles for fleet work?
- No minimum. We handle one truck or an entire fleet, and we standardize the setup across vehicles so every unit in the fleet is wired and switched the same way.
- What does it cost?
- Pricing depends on the vehicle, the parts chosen, and how much wiring is involved. Send the vehicle details and what you need and you get a written quote back, usually the same day. Fleet pricing is available for multi-vehicle work.
- Do you supply the lights, or can we bring our own parts?
- Either. We source quality LED gear, and we are happy to install parts you already bought as long as they are safe and suitable for the vehicle.
